The elementary grades of Mesilla Valley Christian Schools are comprised of Kindergarten through fifth grade, with a current enrollment of approximately 200 students. Grades K through 3 are housed in Founders Hall, and grades 4 and 5 are located in the North Annex. We provide our students with opportunities to excel to the best of their God-given abilities, in a safe and friendly environment, which honors Godly wisdom and knowledge.

There are approximately 12 faculty members serving at the elementary school with an average of 8.2 years of teaching experience. Many teachers have also completed a master’s program in a related field of education. The average class size is 18 students. MVCS offers one section of kindergarten, full day or half, and two sections of each of the other grade levels from first through fifth. All elementary classrooms are self-contained, whereby teachers instruct in the basic content areas of math, reading, language arts, history, and science. The two fifth grade classrooms use a team approach for instruction in math, science, and history. Classes use A Beka curriculum for reading, language arts, history, and science. Saxon Math is used in grades 1-5. For Bible lessons, most classes use Bob Jones curriculum, and some classes also incorporate A Beka curriculum. All classes have a daily Bible lesson, as well as a special weekly chapel service on most Friday mornings. Bible time assists the children in their efforts to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and their fellow classmates and teachers.
