Having the privilege and the experience of being raised in a Christian home in Silver City, NM, I have never known any other belief than "Christ died on the cross for my sins." I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX in 1975, and stayed very active in church and campus ministries all four years in Alpine. Upon graduation, I moved back to Silver City and entered business with my family. Over the years, I have held several positions that allowed me to use my God given talents to view processes and functions from a neutral position and thoroughly evaluate and improve those processes.
I moved to Las Cruces in 1987 and married Carol, my best friend in 1988. We have a son, Kamren, a daughter Cassie and another daughter Whitney, which we both feel are each a gift that God had blessed us with. My initial experience with Christian school education was with the enrollment of Cassie in 2001. My family immediately became involved with the school and fell in love with the staff and the school family. In 2004, I was elected to the Board of Trustees. Although sometimes very difficult, my experience on the board has been one of service and vision for the students. Through Christ, I find that service to others fulfills all needs in one manner or another to the person serving. Has it always been easy to be a Christian? No, and that was not the promise. Has it always been exciting? Well, no! Has Christ always been there? Yes, and I hold to that, and I teach that to my children. My mission in life is to serve others that Christ would be revealed in my actions.
