Kindergarten –

Bible – This course is a review of some Old and New Testament Bible stories which help to explain the love and sovereignty of God, while also explaining God’s plan of salvation to the students.

Language Arts – A comprehensive study to develop skills in pre-language, phonics, penmanship, and reading.

Math – This course is a comprehensive study designed to develop skills in mathematics.

Science – This course introduces students to what God can make in His creation. It is also a demonstration of God’s love for us seen in His works.

Social Studies – Social studies is an introduction to community helpers, exploring the beginning of the culture of America and American history. The course includes an introduction into other world cultures.

First Grade –

Bible – This course is designed to teach students to know the Bible through a thematic, chronological study of the Old and New Testament. It guides students to trust God and to apply His principles in everyday life.

Phonics – The purpose of phonics is to teach accuracy in spelling and pronunciation.

Spelling – The purpose of spelling is to teach accuracy in spelling by understanding phonics rules.

Penmanship – This course teaches proper manuscript penmanship skills.

Language Arts – English/Language Arts is a comprehensive study of the English language.

Math – This course develops a solid foundation in math language and basic concepts in all areas of mathematics while teaching that God is a god of order.

Science – This course is a study of our natural world. The wonders of creations and the greatness of nature’s design are covered. The students also develop a deep reverence for God as Creator.

Social Studies/Geography – This course covers important symbols, history, and places of interest. These items are used to stimulate the students’ interest in their country as well as other countries of the world.

Technology – This course is designed to prepare students to use computers and related technology in their everyday lives.

Spanish – This course provides students with an introduction to the Spanish language primarily through everyday conversations related to school and home.

Second Grade –

Social Studies – This course is a general study of the history, geography, and culture of our nation and state, including principles of good citizenship and patriotic values.

Math – This study will enable children to develop a solid foundation in the language and basic concepts of mathematics.

Science/Health – This course is a general study of the wonders of God’s creation.

Bible – This course is designed to teach students how to live the Bible as well as know the Bible through a thematic, chronological study of the Old and New Testaments.

Reading/Phonics – This course is a comprehensive study in oral and written expression to help students better share the Lord with others and to communicate successfully in everyday life.

Spelling – This course teaches accuracy in spelling and continues a foundation in phonics, which gives strength to reading and writing abilities.

Penmanship – This course teaches the proper form of manuscript and provides an introduction to cursive.

English – This course is a comprehensive study in oral and written expression to help students better share the Lord with others and to communicate successfully in everyday life.

Technology – This course is designed to prepare students to use computers and related technology in their everyday lives.

Spanish – This course provides students with an introduction to the Spanish language primarily through everyday conversations related to home and school.

Third Grade –

Bible – This course is designed to teach higher-level thinking skills while encouraging Christ-likeness in the lives of students.

Reading – This course is to encourage development in reading skills and to understand the application of phonics rules.

Spelling – This course teaches and reviews basic spelling rules, develops dictionary skills, and increases accuracy in spelling.

Penmanship – This course teaches proper manuscript and cursive penmanship skills.

English – This is a comprehensive course to develop skills in English.

Math – This course is designed to teach the basic concepts of math including time, temperature, money, measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division facts, and fractional parts.

Science – This course shows God as the Creator, Designer, and Sustainer of the world by studying the human body, plants, animals, and our environment.

Health, Safety, Manners – This course is to teach health through nutrition, safety through obedience to rules, and proper social manners. The study of these principles helps develop the proper physical and spiritual health God desires for us.

Social Studies – This course surveys American history through biographies of great American. It also teaches patriotism, map and globe studies, and God’s plans at work in the lives of great Americans.

Technology – This course is designed to prepare students to use computers and related technology in their everyday lives.

Spanish – This course provides students with an introduction to the Spanish language primarily through everyday conversations related to school and home.

Fourth Grade –

Bible – This course is designed to teach higher-level thinking skills while encouraging Christ-likeness in the lives of students.

Reading – This course teaches oral reading skills and reading comprehension.

Spelling – This course teaches and develops spelling skills using the phonics base of the previous three grades. Spelling is incorporated with reading comprehension and writing.

English – This course covers language usage including the sentence, nouns, verbs, adjectives, capitalization, punctuation, pronouns, and adverbs. The students will also receive further instruction in writing stories, persuasive letters, and personal narratives.

Math – This course teaches and reinforces the basic concept of place value, whole numbers, story problems, fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Science – This course is designed to teach and show the students that God is the Creator, Designer, and Sustainer of the world in all things. This includes plants, animals, and our environment. It presents the world as the creation of God and glorifies Him as it sustains and upholds.

Health – This course teaches students the wonders of the bodies God has given them. It stimulates them to practice good health.

Social Studies – This course encourages students to become knowledgeable about their country during the early years, the Civil War, and the World Wars. It also inspires patriotism. This study is a reference of what Christians consider history to be: His Story.

Technology – This course is designed to prepare student to use computers and related technology in their everyday lives.

Spanish – This course provides students with an introduction to the Spanish language primarily through everyday conversations related to school and home.

Fifth Grade –

Bible – This course is designed to guide students in learning more about God through the study of His Word. Students will use Bible study aids such as cross-references, a concordance, and a Bible dictionary.

Reading – This course is designed to develop comprehensive skills, oral reading skills, listening skills, speed reading, and vocabulary building.

Spelling – This course helps students to become expert spellers. They gain confidence as they learn and apply spelling rules and develop dictionary skills.

English – This course centers on two basic components: a) language and usage which includes the sentence, parts of speech, capitalization, and punctuation and b) literature and writing which include: personal narrative, instruction, story, description, persuasive letter, and research project.

Math – This course will review basic math skills (addition, multiplication, subtraction, division). These skills will be extended to cover fractions, decimals, measurement, and story problems.

Science – This course will enable the student to see the plan of God as it is revealed in His orderly creation. It includes the study of animals, insects, matter, earth, space, health, nutrition, weather, sea, and engines.

Health – This course is a segment of the science curriculum. It teaches the students healthy habits in the area of hygiene, safety, and manners.

Social Studies – This course involves the study of the history and geography of the Old World or the Eastern Hemisphere. It gives the students the history of Christian men and women and the impact they had on the culture in which they lived.

Technology – This course is designed to prepare students to use computers and related technology in their everyday lives.

Spanish – This course provides students with an introduction to the Spanish language primarily through everyday conversations related to school and home.
