Congradulations to our 4th quarter Hispano Chamber of Commerce Mid School Award winners. They are Nick N, (6th), Kayli C. (7th) and Matthew G. (8th). A special award ceremony was held at NMSU honoring each winner from the 1st-4th quarters.
For the 4th quarter SLS chose to help out one of our local churches, Calvary Baptist, by restriping the south parking lot. We had a good time and managed to get a lot accomplished. Thanks to Calvary for giving us the opportunity to serve them.
May events include:
- Track and Field Day is May 2, 2008, with a lunchtime dismissal.
- Jr./Sr. Social is May 2.
- The Elementary music concert is May 8, 2008, at 7 p.m.
- Young Authors Day will be Friday, May 9, 2008.
- HS Choir and Band Concert is May 15 at 7 p.m at NMSU Recital Hall.
- Volunteer reception in the Library for all MVCS Volunteers 2 p.m.
- The Kindergarten Program is Tuesday, May 20 7 p.m.
- The first end-of-year elementary activity day will be Wednesday, May 21.
- The last day of school is Thursday, May 22, with an early dismissal.
- Eighth grade graduation is May 22 at 7 p.m.
- Senior graduation is May 23 at 7 p.m.
Summer 2008:
- We are planning some summer events to offer students. Watch for more information.
